Wared Play EFRIS Connectorby WEAF Company Uganda Ltd
URA EFRIS connector · Whale Ship (鲸舰) POS

Every Wared Play sale, fiscalized with URA EFRIS — automatically.

The connector reads paid sales and refunds from the Whale Ship console, turns them into EFRIS fiscal invoices and credit notes through the WEAF EFRIS API, and keeps the FDN for every sale. It works the same way as WEAF's QuickBooks Online connector — connect, map, sync.

A sale on the Whale Ship till goes through the connector to URA EFRIS and comes back as a fiscal receipt with an FDN and QR code

How it works

1

Connect

Sign in to the Whale Ship console and to your WEAF account (company TIN, Sandbox or Production). Both connections are tested on save.

2

Map

Give each Whale Ship item a URA commodity code (searchable, only codes URA publishes), unit and tax rule. Map payment methods to EFRIS payment modes.

3

Send immediately

Every ~20 seconds new sales are picked up and sent to EFRIS. A product EFRIS doesn't know yet is registered first, then the sale goes straight out.

4

Track

Each sale shows its EFRIS status, FDN or the exact error, with retry and skip. Every action is in the activity log.

Everything in one connector

Many companies

One installation serves many businesses - each with its own Whale Ship login, EFRIS TIN, users and data. Online (SaaS) or offline on the client's own computer.

Branches

Import the TIN's branches from EFRIS. Each branch gets its own seller-reference suffix and, if needed, its own Whale Ship shop login.

Verify every invoice

Verify QR opens URA's validation page; Check on EFRIS reads the invoice back and compares FDN, code, reference and amount.

EFRIS reports

Invoices, credit notes, goods and branches read live from URA, a fiscal summary with CSV, and PDF fiscal invoices.

Automatic printing

Every new fiscal receipt prints by itself - from a print station on the till or straight to a thermal printer - with the URA QR code.

URA catalogue built in

Search URA commodity codes, pick from all 535 units of measure, and keep products on EFRIS in step with the Whale Ship back office.

What is sent to EFRIS

  • Paid sales from the go-live date onwards, one fiscal invoice per sale, with the Whale Ship order number as the seller reference.
  • Refundable card deposits are left off the invoice by default.
  • E-Cash (member prepaid balance) is not sent twice — the top-up was already fiscalized.
  • Full refunds become credit notes; partial refunds wait for a person to decide.
  • Anything unclear — unmapped items, mixed payments, totals that don't add up — is held for review, never guessed.

Built to be safe

  • Sandbox first. Production needs a typed confirmation.
  • No duplicates. A sale is claimed before sending, and EFRIS rejects a repeated seller reference.
  • Several computers. One connector serves every computer in the browser; a database lock stops two from syncing at once.
  • Secrets encrypted at rest; passwords never shown again.
  • Runs in Tomcat (web) or as a desktop app from the same file.

About WEAF

Weaf Company Uganda Limited builds tax-compliance integrations for businesses in Uganda and the region. The WEAF EFRIS API wraps URA's EFRIS in simple REST endpoints — products, stock, fiscal invoices, credit notes and reports — with a free Sandbox for testing.

WEAF also runs the QBO Connector, which links QuickBooks Online to Uganda's URA EFRIS, Zambia's ZRA Smart Invoice and Malawi's MRA EIS, and connects other systems such as QuickBooks Desktop, Tally, Zoho Books and Odoo. This connector brings the same approach to the Whale Ship POS.
